Prior to adding a new Unit Type, you must first complete the following steps:
- Go to the Properties menu and select 'Unit Types'.
- Here you will see a list of all the other Unit Types that have already been added to the system. Click 'Add Unit Type'.
- Give this Unit Type a name, e.g. One Bedroom Apartment, and provide a description of the features, facilities and fittings that this Unit Type has, e.g. wooden flooring throughout, en-suite bathroom, approximately 150 sqm.
- Fill in the Unit Type Code; this is a unique reference for this Unit Type, e.g. MFP_1BED.
- Provide a Unit Classification; currently the only option is 'Managed', however in the future we will add a 'Network Unit Type' (i.e. Units you do not own/manage, but still take Bookings for).
- Use the drop-down arrow to choose which 'Type' this Unit Type is, e.g. Studio. If you cannot find the Type that fits for this case, please contact your account manager and they will get one added for you.
- Type in the Maximum Occupancy; this allows you to set the maximum number of Guests that are allowed to stay in this Apartment.
- Provide a number for the 'Internet Booking Engine max available units'; this is the maximum number of units that can be booked via your website.
- Provide a Maximum and Minimum Stay; these are the minimum and maximum number of nights the Unit Type can be booked for.
- Once you have filled in all the details, click 'Save Unit type'.
- The Unit Type you have just saved will now be added to the list of Unit Types that were previously added to the system.
