Reconciling an Invoice allows you to mark one or more invoices as being paid for even if payment has not been taken through ReRum.
This is really useful if, for example, a customer has made a payment by phone and you need to pay off the invoice on ReRum.
1 - Go to the Finance menu and select 'Reconcile'.
2 - Enter the Finance Account. This will load up any outstanding invoices on that account.
3 - Select how the payment was taken. If you select Card Payment you will also need to select the card type.
4 - Enter the payment reference. This is just used to identify the payment, so you can make it up.
5 - Select the Nominal Code. This will be used to generate reports later on.
6 - Select the Receipt Date. This is the date that will appear on the receipt that will be sent to the client.
7 - You can filter the results by date using the 'Financial Data Filter'.
8 - When you reconcile the issue, you can either enter an amount to reconcile, or just tick the box to reconcile the entire amount.
9 - Scroll down and select 'Reconcile'.
10 - The Invoice will now have been reconciled.
