1 - Create a Rentals United account by clicking here.
2 - Get in touch with one of the Res:Harmonics team so that we can enable the Rentals United app for your system (since this app costs money, speak to your account manager for pricing).
3 - Go to the Admin menu, hover over 'Configurations', and select 'System Configuration'.
4 - Click on the 'Rentals United' tab.
5 - Click 'Edit System configuration' in the top right corner of the screen.
6 - Provide the username and password for your Rentals United account.
7 - Fill in the 'Owner/Landlord' details that you wish to use for your Units.
8 - Once you have filled in all the details, click 'Update System configuration'.
9 - Go to the Online menu and select 'Rentals United'.
10 - View a day of the week and click 'Edit Rentals united config'.
11 - Select a 'Stop Sell Time'; this is the time you want to stop selling your entire Property portfolio for that day's arrivals. Also enter a 'Stop Sell Days'; this is the number of days the Property will not be for sale for, starting from the 'Stop Sell Time'.
12 - Create a Rentals United Rate Plan (see here for information on how to do this), either a single rate for all Properties or multiple rates for each Unit Type.
N.b. Only VAT Inclusive Rate Plans are supported with Rentals United.
13 - Go to the Properties menu and select 'Units'. Click to view the Unit you would like to publish.
14 - Click on the 'Integrations' tab.
15 - Click 'Edit Unit'.
16 - Tick the 'Publish to Rentals United' box at the top to publish this Unit.
17 - Make sure the other required fields are filled in, such as a name, description, and also map a Rate by clicking the blue magnifying glass and clicking on the desired rate.
18 - Click 'Update Unit' once you have done this.
19 - Repeat the process of steps 15-19 until you have published all the Units you would like to.
20 - Once you have updated each Unit, it will send the information to Rentals United and return with a Unique External ID. Once you have received the ID, you can now view the Properties in their portal.
21 - You are now able to manage the availability of each Property by going to the Sales menu and selecting 'Availability Group Grid'.
22 - Use the drop-down arrow to select Rentals United as the 'Availability Group'.
23 - Fill out the other fields and click the blue 'search' button.
24 - Allocated Units will be shown in blue, whereas the Units that currently have not been published will be shown in red.
25 - You will need to enable each Channel you wish to push Properties out to in the Rentals United portal. Since each Channel can take up to 2 weeks to setup, please speak with your Rentals United account manager to help you with this process.
- Rerum pushes changes to availability for the published properties immediately to Rentals United
- Rerum pushes changes to Price & minimum stay lengths for the published properties immediately to Rentals United
- Changes to price & availability will appear in Rentals United almost immediately (you may need to login & out of Rentals to see the changes)
- Changes in price & availability will take anything from a few minutes to a few hours to propagate to all channels connected to Rentals United (Booking.com is fast, Airbnb is slow)
- Rerum checks for new bookings via Rentals United every 60 seconds.
- Rerum will auto set the channel on bookings from Rentals United i.e. a booking from Airbnb will be set to channel Airbnb
- All booking received will be in pending state and shown in the Sales Centre within Rerum
- Rerum supports taking credit card payments on bookings where the channel doesn't take the payment ie. Booking.com. This is enabled in the Admin → System config → Rentals united tab
